Post FORUM RULES......MUST READ Reply with quote
Welcome and thank you for joining Pagan Packs Forums!

Pagan Packs Forums has set the following rules in order to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable community for all who gather here. Make sure you read through these completely! The rules of the forums will be strictly adhered to and the Pagan Packs Forums Staff has permission to enforce these when deciding to limit or deny access to individuals who either haven't read them or insist on violating them. While these may be wordy, they are necessary. Make sure you also read any rules that are pertinent to the forum you are posting to, as there may be rules specific to that category. Pagan Packs reserves the right to change or modify these rules as needed.

BASIC RULES:

**Karma does not ignore the internet! All who register here will are expected to RESPECT other members PERIOD!

**All United State laws are to be adhered to in all activity linked to the Pagan Packs Forums.

**Please proofread posts before actually posting.

**By posting to this forum you permanently and irrevocably grant PaganPacks the right to use any content.

A LITTLE MORE DETAIL .............
The following is the detailed version of the above and what staff members use when enforcing these rules.

**Respect of fellow members is mandatory. We are a diverse community that holds many different beliefs and opinions. No one is expected to agree or support views that are different from their own but tolerance of those views is expected. Each of us as individuals has the right to express their opinions without the fear of persecution. Remember that other members of this forum are just like you with feelings and rights that should be taken in to consideration when engaging in a discussion.
Examples of disrespectful behavior include but are not limited to:

A personal attack toward a member, their culture, religion, beliefs, opinions or views.

Name calling, accusations and/or remarks considered hostile.

Attempting to moderate other members without permission.

Publicly arguing with staff in regard to rules or their decisions made in regard to those rules.

We encourage discussion, conversation and even debates so long as respect is maintained.

**Posts which contain content deemed inappropriate to this forum will be deleted and may result in consequences. This forum does not allow the posting of content that is pornographic, threatening or harassing, potentially defamatory or hateful. Racial, ethnic, religious and/ or cultural prejudice will not be tolerated.

**Members are expected to follow suggestions from staff in regard to behavior in the forums. All comments, complaints, criticism and/ or other issues should be addressed through the administration. Disagreements with staff decisions are open to appeal through this channel only. Publicly argumentative posts may result in consequences.

**Let the staff do their job. If you feel a post violates our rules, please bring it to the attention of our staff by contacting us outside of the forums. Do not attempt to moderate other members unless you have been given permission to do so from the administration.

**Advertisements or event announcements found in other than the appropriate forums WILL BE DELETED.

**Members can only post copyrighted material if they have specific permission to post it to Pagan Packs Forums. Link to the material instead if you feel that it is of interest to other members.

**Violating United States criminal or civil law using the Pagan Packs Forum as your medium is strictly prohibited and could result in proper authorities being notified. We take this VERY seriously and will co-operate with any authorities in resolving such issues.

**Members are allowed to register for one user account. If you are found to have more than one user name or are attempting to impersonate another member YOU WILL land on the ban list (this includes your IP address).

NO-BRAINERS (BUT HAVE TO BE MENTIONED):

**Follow the rules for each specific forum as well as the aforementioned.

**Look for threads specific to your topic before re-posting the same information.

**Write all of your posts politely. Do not use all CAPS or a variety of symbols.

**Do not use profanity.

**Try to trim your posts using only the necessary info to keep thread moving.

**Personal details are just that. Please post these in the appropriate forums keeping in mind that we all have our share of "issues" in our daily life.

SPECIFIC PERSONAL POSTING NO-NO'S THAT LEAD TO IMMEDIATE CONSEQUENCES:

The following should need no explanation. They are rude and obnoxious behaviors that are unwelcome in our forums. These include but are not limited to:

**Trolling. If you are even remotely thought to be causing trouble in any of the forums.....see ya!

**Harvesting of e-mails or member lists for the purpose of spamming outside of the forum. If you are reported by more than one member here who has no reason other than this forum to have personal contact with you....dust off your broom and get ready to fly.

**Re-posts to several forums........we only need to see it once.

**Changing the content of your message after it has been viewed and/or replied to.

**Using offensive language especially directed at another member.

**Hacking or attempting to hack Pagan Packs Forums.

**Failure to properly credit a quoted source or using copyrighted material without proper permissions.

**Falsification of information sent to join Pagan Packs Forums.

**Playing English professor and publicly chastising another member for errors regarding their spelling or grammar. We all have bad typo days......be kind. Stick to the topic of the post.

**Soap-boxing or making statements in regard to specific members of any religion. Pagan or not, there is zero tolerance of "I'm right...you're wrong" dialog.

VIOLATION CONSEQUENCES:

Members who choose to go against the grain are subject to some or all of the consequences that follow.
*Public warning in forum
*Private warning via PM or e-mail
*Removal or editing of posts
*Placement on moderation
*Inability to post for a specified probation period
*Loss of user group or other featured privileges
*Permanent banning of IP address
Other consequences may be implemented depending on the situation and the administrative approval.

JUST A FEW MORE THINGS:

Pagan Packs Forums and its staff reserves the right to act as we see fit to provide a welcome and pleasant atmosphere in these forums. This right includes but is not limited to: editing/ deleting any topic or post, changing permissions and group memberships of members, setting new or "special" rules to fit situations that arise and/or banning of members. Discussions are subject to moderation even if there is no obvious violation of rules in order to maintain the integrity of the forums and disgruntled members may be requested to remove themselves from such discussions if it is deemed necessary. All members are expected to adhere to the rules of this community and an excuse of "I didn't know that was a rule" will not carry much weight when discussing an appeal to a decision made by a moderator or administrator. Administrative decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
Please remember that anything you post to this community becomes royalty-free and is subject to use in other online venues by Pagan Packs.

Brightest Blessings,
The Pagan Packs Forum Staff
